Our Usual Focus

Within the Mainstream Approach to building your business, you are encouraged to look outward for inspiration.

Whether you are creating a new offer or a new program, the process typically starts with a handful of questions:

  • Who are your ideal clients?
  • What are your ideal client's pains, needs, and desires?
  • What niche will attract the subgroup who can pay top dollar for your work?
  • What benefits and outcomes can you provide to your clients?
  • Where will you find your ideal clients?

Next, you build an offer to meet the needs of your clients.

After you create a marketing plan to reach these prime clients, you then enroll your clients in your offer. Next up, you provide your service in a way that will meet their needs.

Then you rinse and repeat. Either you offer the same program multiple times or you start the process over again to create a new program.

That's the plan anyway. But what happens when:

  • You don't feel aligned with your target market?
  • You can't nail down the right niche?
  • You aren't comfortable with the direction your current work is taking?
  • You want to branch off in a new direction?
  • You realize that several of the steps in this plan run counter to your sense of integrity?
  • You discover you really aren't fulfilled by the work you are doing or the people you are working with?
  • You aren't generating the success you were promised?

If you are experiencing even one of these scenarios, it could create enough discomfort with your plans that you put on the brakes.

If you believe that this is THE only way to develop and build your business, you may feel stymied and unsure whether you want to continue with your dream of becoming a Change Catalyst.

Something's Missing

Last night, I walked through my own memories of using the Mainstream Approach to build my previous businesses. I soon realized something significant is missing from the plan described above.

This missing piece is essential to your ability to create a flourishing business for yourself and your clients.

What's missing? YOU!

Your needs, desires, and natural style must inform and guide the creation of your business, your offers, and the way you work with your clients.

If what's best for you isn't part of this creative mix, it's likely you will develop a business and offers that don't align with what works for you.

It's really difficult to create a flourishing business if there's a longstanding disconnect between you and your business.

Switch Your Focus

The Organic Way brings your needs, desires, and personal style into the picture from the start. Whether you are creating your business, developing a new offer, redesigning your existing business, or creating a new body of work, how you function matters!

Rather than looking outward to envision your next moves for your business, the Organic Way encourages you to start by tapping into what's true for you.

No matter where you are with your business evolution, reconnecting with your true nature, values, passions, natural style, and unique expertise is your first priority.

Coming home to yourself first means that you are at the center of what you create, how you choose to work with clients, and the ways you share your work with those who will benefit most.

When you have a vision of your business aligns with your personal style and expertise, you will feel a sense of ease and flow that will support and motivate you to take the next steps.
